Stephen Keshi Stadium could host Super Eagles Matches soon

The Nigeria Football Federation will consider picking the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba in the nearest future to host international matches according to its President, Amaju Pinnick.

On Wednesday, the Stephen Keshi Stadium hosted the final of the 2018 Aiteo Cup final between Pillars and Rangers, witnessed by Super Eagles Technical Adviser Gernot Rohr.

 

Speaking at the NFF Annual General Assembly in Asaba, Pinnick disclosed that the newly built arena is among several grounds across the Country under consideration for future Super Eagles matches.

 

He acknowledged the presence of Rohr at the final to see the match as well as give his opinion on the facility playing host to international matches.

 

The 22,000 capacity Stadium, which was commissioned this year, is all natural grass and was named after Nigerian football Legend; former Super Eagles captain and Coach, Stephen Keshi.
