Captain of NPFL side Sunshine stars Abe Sunday has stated that the Owena waves will not relegate at the end of the season despite a run of just one win in the last seven matches which has seen the team gone down neck deep in the relegation battle.
Sunday speaking with www.Cornerstonenewsng.comshortly after the team’s latest 1-0 defeat to Lobi stars in Makurdi said they now shift concentration to the next two games as they seek to protect their topflight status for now.
“God forbid Sunshine stars will not relegate and if we don’t want Sunshine to relegate we will continue to work hard to make sure we get more results. As we are going now we have two games now that we target to bounce back into reckoning.”
Sunshine stars next play on Thursday in a reverse fixture against Lobi stars in Akure with another home fixture on Sunday against Enugu Rangers.
