One hour before the kick off of their NPFL match against Lobi Stars in Akure, Sunshine Stars announced the suspension of assistant Coach Kayode Julius for “improper conduct”.
Reports suggests Julius was involved in a physical confrontation with a Lobi Stars player in Markurdi, earlier this week.

. Please confirm. Learnt your assistant coach, Kayode Julius, punched @LobiStars Goalkeeper, Ospino Egbe, while he was praying with his teammates ahead of today’s rescheduled match. Earlier before the tweet, the club issued an official statement on its social media page, to confirm the Coach’s sanction, only a few minutes before the reverse of their NPFL tie against Lobi.

In the recent past,Julius Kayode has acted as interim Coach of the Owena Waves, the club is expected to make release a full statement of his suspension.
The management of Sunshine Stars FC has handed coach Kayode Julius immediate suspension for improper conduct during the build to the rescheduled league match with @LobiStars.
