Former Super Eagles defender and ex-international, Sam Sodje has revealed that he is nothing short of excited at the quality of players presently obtainable in the Super Eagles, ahead of next month’s friendly.
The Eagles are looking to use the match to prepare for their AFCON 2021 qualifiers, two months after winning bronze at the 2019 edition which took place in Egypt.
Speaking with www.brila.net, Sodje said he was excited due to the fact that the players who were called for the match are players who are presently doing well for their clubs while hoping they carry the day eventually.
“Am just excited. For the last couple of years, we have players who have been doing well for their football club and also coming to the national team and playing well”.
“The main important thing for me that has me excited is that we have players who have been doing well for their club”.
“We are looking forward to seeing them play well, and hopefully we get the day and we win”.
