African Champions, Nigeria’s Super Falcons dropped one place, from 38th to 39th, in the latest FIFA Women’s World Ranking (WWR).
Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire occupy fourth and fifth place in Africa respectively. Ghana dropped three places to rank 68th in the world, while Cote d’Ivoire moved up one step to finish 70th.
Other teams in the top ten in Africa include Equatorial Guinea, Morocco, Algeria, Mali, and Senegal.
In the world ranking, the USA remains number one and they are followed closely by Germany, France, England, and Canada in the top five.
Australia, Netherlands, Japan, and Brazil complete the top ten in the world ranking.
