There was a Remi Moses before Victor Moses links to Manchester United

If that fathom Victor Moses rumored move to Man United were to ever happen, well he wouldn’t be the first Moses with Nigerian origins or ancestry to do so.

31 years to this day, Manchester born Remi ‘Mark’ Moses suited up for the Red Devils and had the privilege of playing for Alex Ferguson before the Sir title or the football honors.

 

That Moses was a midfielder who joined the Reds from West Brom for £650,000 and played 7 seasons at the club.

 

His wiki page states:

Moses was a key midfielder for United during the 1980s, but suffered a succession of serious injuries.

He missed the FA Cup final triumphs of 1983 due to suspension and 1985 due to injury, and played his last game for the club in 1988.

Injuries had gradually forced him out of the team and he finally announced his retirement from playing in the 1988–89 season when aged only 28.

 

note: Moses retired at 28, Moses retired from international football at 27

 

However, he was and still is only associated with England at international level; even though he never got a senior team cap.

 

So, if ever Victor Moses gets to join up with Jose Mourinho or any other Manager at Old Trafford; the Theater of Dreams, he won’t be breaking any grounds as a Nigerian – He has retired from international football.
