Tokyo 2020 – Africa’s No 1 Badminton player Adesokan’s dream

Badminton is not a popular sport in Nigeria, Despite some discouraging factors, Badminton has come with blessings,  according to Dorcas Ajoke Adesokan.

Born in Ogun state, Dorcas started playing Badminton when she was scouted while in primary school, she enjoyed the sport after trial and started competing since 2009.
There were initial challenges when she progressed to the Senior category after her dominance in the Junior category, but she fought hard to prove herself and claimed the Number 1 spot.
Dorcas has dominated the game of Badminton, winning medals across continental and intercontinental tournaments, currently ranked number 1 in Nigeria and Africa she has her eyes on more medals especially an Olympic Medal at the forthcoming Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
