Tokyo 2020: Falilat Ogunkoya urges Sports Ministry to pay athletes before competition

Former Nigeria track and field athletes, chief Falilat Ogunkoya has urged the Athletics Federation to pay the athletes before competing and not after the competition.

Speaking to brila.net, chief Ogunkoya expressed concerns over the nature at which athletes get to surfer after competing for the country due to lack of motivation in terms of welfare and allowances.
”Nigeria is for all of us so, if some one comes to represent this country in track and field, they deserve encouragement.
“we should not wait until competition comes before we start remembering these athletes, let’s manage the athletes well and give them what they want.
