Tottenham Ease Past Swansea, Reach Second Straight FA Cup Semi-Final

Tottenham Hotspur defeated Swansea 3-0 at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday to advance to the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

Christian Eriksen scored a brace while Eric Lamela was also on target in the encounter.
Spurs have now reached the FA Cup semi-finals in consecutive seasons for the first time in 36 years, last doing so in 1980-81 and 1981-82.
Eriksen broke the deadlock in the 20th minute with a left footed strike.
Lamela made it 2-0 with a fierce shot at just before half-time.
Early in the second half, Spurs goalkeeper Michel Vorm made two quick saves from Matt Olsson’s shot from a long range and Tammy Abraham’s header.
In the 54th minute, Abraham had a chance from close range to score with a header but Davidson Sanchez’s timely flick diverted the ball for a corner.
Eriksen put the game beyond Swansea’s reach after beating Nordfeldt in goal for the Swans with a perfect curler from the edge of the box.
Tottenham are now on course for their ninth English FA Cup after cruising to the semi-finals.
