Tough Talk! Dolphins Won’t Play Catch-up Next Season – Peter Ahmedu

After three seasons as a championship winning Coach, Peter Ahmedu will enter a new campaign in the Women’s Premier Basketball League as a outside favorite leading Dolphins WBC who he believes are now third best in the land based on the strength of recruitment done in the off season.

Ahmedu left First Bank WBC at the expiration of his contract, with both parties pursing different ambitions after achieving the peat.

But, Dolphins won’t offer the experienced Coach the luxury he enjoyed with his former employees and it is a reality he has come to accept, he told brila.net.

‘I had perfected my plans for the new season at First Bank; recruited the players I wanted and mapped out the course of action for the year.

‘All that I left behind to join Dolphins who had, incidentally also wrapped up their recruitment for the new season. I must now find a way to infuse my ideas into what’s already available here.’

Nonetheless, the urge to win is still glows in the Coach’s tone and he says he hopes to instill it in his new team; never minding the fact he engineered their fall in the final of the league last season.

‘I want to make sure the Ladies are competitive and I hope to bring them to the level; the levels of the First Bank and MFM who have recruited the best players across the country,’ Coach Peter Ahmedu stressed.
