Umar Sadiq’s expected transfer to Real Sociedad was on the verge of collapsing according to reports, but the Forward is now set to undergo his medicals.
It was widely reported that Real Sociedad and UD Almeria had agreed a €20m transfer fee for the forward and the player was expected to have his obligatory medicals on Wednesday.
According to Spanish journalist Marco Antonio Sande, the deal was on the verge of falling through as parties failed to agreed the final details of the contract.
Marco Antonio claimed the negotiation was tensed and it seems UD Almeria were ready to pull the plug.
The 25-year-old had prepared to leave for Sociedad last night, but eventually stayed back to train with his teammates.
However, hours later fresh updates on the potential transfer, including from Fabrizio Romano, revealed Real Sociedad aren’t given up of signing the Nigerian forward.
