Samuel Chukwueze may have that eye watering price tag of €63 million, but to Villarreal CF the invaluable player at this moment is 34 year-old Santi Cazorla, who has been offered a year’s extension on his contract.
Chukwueze had a break through season with the Yellow Submarines and is the subject of several transfer speculations linking him with interests at Barcelona and some other top European clubs.
Nonetheless, Villarreal are showing whilst they rate the young Nigeria highly, it is former Spanish international Cazorla who is the one worth keeping.
The La Liga side announced that Cazorla had renewed for the 2019-20 season at a season ticket campaign presentation in the newly opened Plaza Pascual Font de Mora.
Meanwhile, Nigeria international Samu will hope to improve his rating even further when he suits up for Nigeria at his first senior competition in the AFCON later this month.
