With the U-23 Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Libya fast approaching, Nigerian team coach, Imama Amapakabo has proven heis crew has some good knowledge of the North Africans despite their very discreet nature.
Imama Amapakabo, in a chat with brila.netstated that although it has been very tough getting information about the Libyans, the scouting team has been able to gather sufficient information and they are aware that the Libyans have a team that has grown through the ranks from the U-17s to the U-20s and now the U-23.
“As for information on Libya, they are quite discreet, even online there are not much information but we were able to gather information via scouts. We know for a fact that the team has been a transitional one, playing together from U17 to U20 for quite sometime now.
They are also a highly technical team that usually use the 3-5-2 formation meaning they use their wings well. They usually break away in counters but they are also not a very physical side and we know we should play on an astroturf.
I am hoping we get a favourable game against then return to Asaba to nail the coffin.”
