Nigeria’s Folashade Rafiatu Lawal sets a new Africa record in the -59kg women’s snatch weightlifting event at the ongoing African Games in Morocco.
Folashade lifted 90 in her first attempt before breaking the Africa record in her second attempt with 92kg.
Folashade went on to wins 3 gold medals in the -59kg women’s weightlifting event, as she lifted 93kg (snatch), 117kg (clean and jerk) and 210 (total).
Her compatriot Joy Ogbonna-Eze also won three goal medal , as she lifted a total of 218kg.
She lifted 97kg in snatch, 121 in clean and jerk in the -64kg women’s weightlifting category at the ongoing African Games in Morocco.
