Why I Joined Nantes – Simon Moses

Super Eagles attacker Simon Moses has opened up on his decision he joined French Ligue 1 side, FC Nantes on a season long loan.

The pacy winger joined Nantes the Christian Gourcuff’s haven failed to establish himself in the Levante’s starting eleven last season.

Moses however stated that his decision to join the French side was down to his desire to improve his game and to continue his friendship with Malian forward Kalifa Coulibaly who was his close pal while the pair was in Belgian side KAA Gent.

“I chose FC Nantes because I think I have a lot to learn here because there is a very competent coach [Christian Gourcuff],” the former KAA Gent of Belgium star told FC Nantes’ official website.

“My relationship with Kalifa Coulibaly is great, we met each other when we played at KAA Gent, it’s the first person I asked for information before signing, he told me good things and he did everything for me to sign here.”

Simon is in line to make his debut for Nantes in Saturday’s away trip to Amiens SC and the Club holds option to sign him permanently next season for €5m.
