Nigeria Women’s basketball best post player and 2018 MVP Nkem Akaraiwe says she’s not out to prove anything and is simply enjoying the game.
The four-time league champion admits gaining recognition for her performance only means she has to improve in order to remain dominant.
However, Nkem told brila.net as competitive as the field is, she doesn’t consider herself in competition with other Bigs in the league.
Meanwhile, Silver medal winning para powerlifter at the 2018 Commonwealth games in Gold coast Australia Paul Kehinde has called on the newly inaugurated board of the Nigeria Paralympic committee to give due recognition to para-athletes and ensure they are well treated especially in the area of reward system and their welfare package.
Kehinde told www.brila.net the neglect and unfair treatment they have been subjected to in various competitions they have participated in and urged that the newly inaugurated board of the Paralympic committee see to their plight in this regard.
