Zlatan Ibrahimovic set to join Egyptian Club

Pyramids FC, who are owned by Saudi billionaire Turki al-Sheikh, are reportedly set to offer Zlatan Ibrahimovic one final payday and persuade him to move to the Egyptian Premier League, according to The Sun.

According to the latest reports, Major League Soccer have already sanctioned the move and now the decision is in Ibrahimovic’s hands. If the ex Barcelona and Manchester United man fancies taking on the adventure, he would make the move to Egypt once the MLS season has come to a close.

Soccer has seen positive growth in Egypt after the success of Mohamed Salah with Liverpool last season and the nation’s arrival at the World Cup in Russia, despite failing to advance from the group.

Ibrahimovic has endured an up and down year with the LA Galaxy, it began with an enthralling debut which saw him score twice (including the winner) as the Galaxy came from 3-0 down to beat rivals LAFC 4-3. However, the 36-year-old was recently quoted saying that the team does not deserve the playoffs after recent performances.

LA Galaxy find themselves 8th in the Western Conference, three points behind those in the playoff places and they have played two games more…

It isn’t looking likely that we will see Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the post-season, so maybe a big pay cheque in Egypt will help cure the embarrassment.
