Super Eagles captain reveals ‘Day he’ll never Forget’

19 Caps into his international career and John Ogu captained Nigeria to a 2-1 win against Liberia in their own backyard describing it as a day he will never forget.

Ogu played 90 minutes as the Super Eagles outclassed their hosts, even with the Lone Stars recalling former captain and now President of the Country, George Weah out of retirement.

 

The midfielder, who debuted for Nigeria in 2014, has been a key component of the Super Eagles squad since the appointment of Gernot Rohr.

 

He shared pictures of moments in Monrovia as Nigeria and Liberia renewed hostilities after almost two decades.

 

Ogu tweeted :

I will never forget this day for the rest of my life. Leading my country with such a wonderful talents in a game against Liberia with the president of Liberia and the only African player to win the ballon d or . I feel blessed .
