Nigeria and Gaziantep basketball club of Turkey Center Tonye Jekiri has stated that the Nigeria men basketball national team D’Tigers is determined to stay competitive ahead of next month’s final FIBA 2019 world cup Africa qualifiers.
Jekiri who has been called to the national team for the final Group F window alongside 14 other players said in a chat withwww.brila.net that the Nigeria men basketball national team will not approach the games mildly despite having qualified already for the world cup in China.
Nigeria is still unbeaten in 9 games in the qualifying campaign and intend to keep that record in Abidjan CIV where they will play the final 3 games to complete the qualifying series.
Invited players have been told to travel directly to Abidjan where the team will converge to play.
