U20 AFCON: Flying Eagles don’t inspire Confidence

Despite picking four points from the first set of games at the CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations, Paul Aigbogun’s Flying Eagles have not impressed and the struggle against South Africa exposed the team, Ex Nigerian star Friday Elahor has told brila.net.

 

Nigeria defeated Burundi 2-0, but were forced to a goalless result by the Amajita to delay the team’s hopes of picking a 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup ticket, and Elahor has predicted tougher days lay ahead for the team.

 

On Friday, the Eagles will face hosts Niger for a spot in the semi-final and a world cup ticket, but past performances in against the other group A opponents don’t inspire confidence Elahor quipped.
