*Aniocha South LGA poll: For real equity, Ubulu Clan should complete own two terms - Adanioma*

With just a few weeks to the local government election in Delta state, the Delta Commissioner for Technical Education, Joan Onyemaechi has said that true equity in Aniocha South Local Government Area should complete its own two terms before it rotates to another clan.
She also urged the youths to desist from being used by desperate and selfish politicians to become nuisance in the polity, while asking older politicians to stop making mockery of the youths.
Rather, they should think outside the box to earn an honest living instead of depending solely on public funds and allowances.
Hon. Onyemaechi advised Asaba while reacting to a recent protest by a sprinkling of some youth from Nsukwa clan, who wrongly claimed that the former director general of the Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency lost her wards and units to opposition parties in the last gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections.
In a media chat in Asaba, she described the false claim as a cheap blackmail borne out of deliberate mischier and misinformation.
She maintained that there is no vacancy for Chairmanship position in Aniocha South till 2027 because Ubulu clan has to complete its own two terms for there to be real equity given that Nsukwa and Ogwashi clans had completed theirs previously.

On the issue of two siblings holding two strategic positions in the local government, the former House of Representatives member explained that appointments are at the pleasure of the governor to decide who becomes commissioner, adding that nobody has been denied an appointment on account of relationships.
Responding to threats of possible defection, if the demand of the Nsukwa clan for Chairmanship position in 2024 is not met.
She punctured the claim that Nsukwa clan solely produced the highest result in the last election because it was a collective efforts.
Aniocha South is a local government, politically standing on a tripod, comprising Nsukwa, Ubulu and Ogwashi Uku clans.
At the moment, Ogwashi Uku is occupying the House of Assembly seat, Ubulu is holding the commissionership which is the discretion of the governor on who becomes a member of his executive council.
“Nsukwa clan did their two terms, the Ogwashi clan completed theirs of two terms, now is the turn of Ubulu clan. The young man had done one term and he deserves his second term in office. How is it my fault that I am patronised by government with an appointment? Our party the PDP and government respect zoning. They knew that my brother was the chairman of our local government before appointing me as Commissioner.

“The worst of their mischief was coming to protest with a forged Governorship election result of the last election. They had claimed I did not win my ward and units with a fake result, but here is the authentic result which is in the public domain,” she said.
