About Us

CORNERSTONENEWSNG is a Nigerian media organisation established on March 7, 2018. Founded and owned by Philomena  Ngozi Christopher-Oji

Philomena  Ngozi Christopher-Oji was born to the family of the late Michael and Cecilia Ojeogwu of Ubulu-Uku, in Aniocha South Local Government Area, Delta State. She had her primary and secondary education in Nwanoli and Ezemu Girls College, in Ubulu-Uku, before she proceeded to Delta State University, Abraka, where she studied English and Literary Studies.

After her one-year National Youth Service Corps programme at Compusolve International Limited, where she was in charge of marketing and data archiving, she was retained in the company.

As a student, she was interested in writing. She wrote for the university newsletter and did articles for national dailies. As a woman who had a flair for journalism, she moved to Alison Publication Company, where she served as an advert executive and special reporter.

From Alison, Phil, as she is fondly called, moved to Hallmark Bank Plc, where she worked in various departments. She attended many courses in banking and marketing, in Nigeria and outside the country, such as Personal Effectiveness and Organizational Values, induction programme in banking, Basic Banking Operations Course, Basis Accounting Course, Managerial Skill Acquisition Course, and Computer Appreciation, among others. She later left the bank and went into interior decoration and gained employment with House of Furniture and Designs Limited, where she served as general manager.

In June 2018, she decided to go into a private business, and she is into full-time importation and media consultancy. She is the managing director/chief executive of Kristogracia Media Company. Mrs. Oji, a passionate media professional, is angry at the way fake news is being circulated on social media today; she has decided to go into online journalism to enthrone ethical reportage, which gave birth to Cornerstonenews.ng.com six months ago.

She was quoted as saying that some unscrupulous media outlets are misleading and misinforming members of the public for selfish interests. According to Phil, the world is so wide to be exploited without cutting corners and cheating to make a profit and as such her organization decided to concentrate on news, crime, sports, and events.

Cornerstone reports news as it really is. There is no rejoinder and it is not competing with any other online platform, rather it strives to provide authentic information to the public. An author of many books, Phil is married to Christopher Oji, who is her mentor in journalism and is blessed with children.
