Manu Garba will make the final selection of players for the Regional CAF U-17 Cup of Nations qualifiers based on the outcome of an already conducted MRI scan.
In the past Nigeria had been embarrassed at the 11th hour, having to disband an entire team or several players for age concerns, but the current Coaches of the Eaglets say they want to avoid going down that path.
In a chat with Brila.net, assistant Coach of the team, Nduka Ugbade confirmed that 20 players will named for the WAFU Zone B qualifiers; which comes up in Niger next month.
Excited about the prospect of the team they have been working on, Ugbade disclosed that the mandatory Magnetic Resonance Imagery test had already been conducted and the list of selected players will be announced soon.
