Omolayo Bose picks Gold, Sets World Record and Nnamdi adds 9th Gold in Algiers

Omolayo Bose won gold and set a new world record and Innocent Nnamdi also clocked in with another Gold medal on Day 3 at the 2018 World Para Powerlifting African Championship in Algeria.

The two gold medal takes the total to 9, while the total medal haul is 11 [2 silver], as Nigeria’s power lifters keep living up to their high ratings.

 

Bose cleared 139.5kg in the Women’s 79kg class, while Nnamdi came in with 200kg ahead of home boy, Bouchefra Billei [151kg] and Uganda’s Nigo Muhamed [125kg].
