BREAKING: Chelsea flop Bakayoko joins AC Milan on loan

After struggling badly at Chelsea, French midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has agreed to sign for AC Milan, initially on loan.

The France international has been deemed surplus to requirements and the loan deal includes at €35million purchase offer at the end of the season.

A £40million signing from Monaco in the summer of 2017, Bakayoko made over 40 appearances during his first season in England but he struggled at times and will be hoping to make a big impact following his move to Serie A.

“AC Milan are pleased to announce the signing of French midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko from Chelsea FC,” the Rossoneri said on their official website.

“The 23-year-old joins the club on a loan deal with an option to make the move permanent.

“Born 17th August 1994 in Paris, Bakayoko’s career started in his native France with Rennes before taking him to Monaco and Chelsea.

“The midfielder has two major honours to his name, winning the league title in 2017 with Monaco and then the FA Cup with Chelsea the year after.

He will be unveiled to the media in a press conference on Friday August 17th.”
