The Ekiti State Police Command has arrested the suspect who allegedly stabbed the traditional ruler of Odo Oro in Ikole Local Government Area of the state, Oba Gbadebo Ogunsakin, to death.
The suspect allegedly stabbed the traditional ruler with a knife on Monday and fled, prompting a manhunt for him.
The king was killed shortly after chairing a meeting with his chiefs. The Ekiti State police public relations officer, Caleb Ikechukwu, in a telephone chat yesterday, disclosed that the culprit has been apprehended.

Ikechukwu gave the name of the suspect as Omoniyi Ademola Stephen. He said Ademola was arrested around 4.30pm on Monday around Ajao Market in Ado-Ekiti.
He said: “The suspect has been arrested and he was brought in under investigation. He confessed to the act and our investigation continues. The matter has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for more investigation.”
Ikechukwu promised that the police would be professional in their investigation into the killing.
