Kwara Utd will compete for NPFL title next season – Alebiosu

Segun Alebiosu is confident Kwara Utd can fight for the Nigeria Professional Football League title this coming season but warned his side must work hard.

The Abubakar Bala boys lost in the final of the prestigious gold cup pre-season tourney to Sunshine Stars of Akure last month but the team’s potentials all over the pitch were seen.

“Its been tough since we resumed camp for the new season, training has been rigorous all in the bid to having us fit.

“Since we got playing test matches and winning some of them during the Gold Cup Tourney in Akure, our confidence level is growing. He stated.

“So its good omen for us, unlike last season when the team started poor but we were lucky to have ended last season without been relegated.”

Alebiosu, however, added that next season NPFL season which has adopted abridged format will be difficult next season and urges his teammates to adjust quickly to the changes.

“It’s a new campaign and we want to get it right this time.

“The 2018/19 season will be tougher than last season, because of the number of teams and its format. We as players have to give our best in games be it in Ilorin or away from home.” He concluded.
