Manchester City go top after beating Everton 3-1

Manchester City climbed back to the Premier League summit after beating Everton at the Etihad Stadium thanks to Gabriel Jesus’ double.

The Brazilian struck midway through the first half to hand the hosts a slim advantage during the break and doubled the lead with a fine header early in the second half.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin gave Everton a lifeline with a headed goal of his own, but Raheem Sterling restored the lead with his first touch after coming off the bench.
