The Lagos State Task Force, over the weekend, warned traders and other people doing illegal businesses on rail lines in the state to quit or risk arrest and prosecution.
Also, the agency has announced the arrest of 31 suspected criminals during a night raid across the state.

Eight of the suspects were members of the notorious ‘Awawa Boys’ cult group, while 23 others were miscreants arrested in possession of different types of drugs, including Indian hemp and cocaine.
Task force chairman, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, who confirmed the arrests and the plan to clamp down on traders along railway tracks, disclosed that heavy convergence of illegal traders selling and buying goods around railway tracks was suicidal and an eyesore.
