Danjuma backs Super Falcons to come good ahead FIFA women’s world cup

Former Falcons coach Christopher Danjuma has backed Nigeria’s women national team to come good despite the team’s opening 4-1 defeat to Austria at the ongoing Cyprus cup tournament.

Danjuma told www.brila.net that Nigerians also need to be realistic in their expectation from the team stating clearly that a progression from the last world cup outing should be the immediate yardstick and not the unrealistic target of setting the team the challenge of winning the world cup which makes it hard to see any sign of improvement once the team play a game and fail to win.
Nigeria’s women national team continue their preparation for the world cup later this afternoon when they play Slovakia in the second group stage match at the ongoing Cyprus cup.
