‘My Super Eagles chance will soon come’- Aliyu Abubakar

2013 FIFA U-17 world cup winner, Aliyu Abubakar has stated that he is not bothered that Super Eagles’ gaffer, Gernot Rohr did not hand him a call up as 23 players were invited for the 2019 AFCON qualifier against Seychelles and the international friendly against Egypt.
Aliyu, 22, who plays for Slutsk FC in the Belarus topflight, told brila.net that Nigeria is blessed with talents and that when it is his turn, he would surely get a look-in.
“Nigeria is a very big country and as such, there are so many Nigerian players plying their trade in different tiers of each league. I just feel the coach has not looked my way yet and I’m sure he will at some point. However, every player called up is worth being there and deserves it. When my time comes, I will take my chance and give my best to Nigeria”, he wrapped.
Aliyu Abubakar was a key member of the Golden Eaglets that conquered the world in 2013 under the tutelage of manu Garba. The squad also had current Super Eagles’ number one goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho.
