Rivers United in murky Relegation Waters, Eguma preaches Calm

Relegation threatened Rivers United are suffered their third league defeat on the bounce at the weekend with a 2-1 home loss to Wikki Tourist, but under-fire Coach Stanley Eguma is confident his side will end the rot soon.

Rivers United were sucked into the relegation battle after only managing to win a game in their last four fixtures in March, but Eguma, who incidentally is the longest serving Coach with an NPFL team, remained defiant.

Eguma told Cornerstonenewsng.comthat, ‘It’s a thing that’s a concern for me and the team, but I know it is a temporary setback; it happens in football. We have to work harder to get out of the situation and we’ll definitely do that.’
