Sunday was an emotional day for MFM FC Midfielder Akuneto Chijioke, as his goal ensured the team picked a point against Enyimba and also preserve their winning run at the Agege Stadium in the League this season.
However, Chijioke told Cornerstonenewsng.comit was a sad day for him because he lost his newborn child 24 hours before the matchday.
Speaking in a post match presser, the visibly emotional player revealed he only honored the game because his wife asked him to, and he dedicated the goal to the now late infant.
‘The goal means a lot to me and I dedicate it to my newborn, who unfortunately passed on Yesterday.’
