Lobi Stars have shared pictures of injured goalkeeper Ospino Egbe, who was attacked before the League match against Sunshine Stars in Akure, by assistant Coach Julius Kayode.
In a tweet accompanying the pictures, Lobi expressed shock at the incident, although they gave no further detail of what transpired before the dastardly act.
“Bizzare scene in #Akure…. Our Goalkeeper, Ospino Egbe, down in serious pains after he was attacked by @SunshineFCAkure Chief Coach, Kayode Julius, before today’s rescheduled #NPFL match.” the message read on the club’s official twitter handle.
While the action of the coach has drawn condemnation from across the country, Sunshine Stars have immediately suspended the erring Coach, on the grounds of “improper conduct”.
