Egypt 2019 – Let’s pray against injuries for our players – Shorunmu

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Ike Shorunmu has called on soccer lovers in the country to pray against injuries to our players ahead of the AFCON in Egypt.

Nigeria will battle the Syli Nationale of Guinea, Intamba Mu Rugamba of Burundi and Madagascar, the first team to qualify for the finals, in the group phase of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. The four teams are in Group B.

Speaking with www.brila.net, Shorunmu called on Nigerians to pray for our national team players as anything can happen between now and the summer.

“The only thing I urge Nigerians to do is to pray against injuries between now and the summer”

“Between now and the summer, anything can happen because football is a game of contact”.

“Anything the players try to do, they should be very disciplined and also ensure they out a lot of concentration in their games”.
