Iwobi makes History, but Arsenal suffer 4-1 hammering in Europa League final

On Wednesday Night at the Olympic Stadium in Baku, Alex Iwobi became the first ever Nigerian to score in the final of a European Club competition, netting Arsenal’s only goal in the 4-1 Europa League defeat to Chelsea.

Iwobi who came on as a second-half substitute scored in the 69th minute, from over 20 yards, to breathe some life in the contest for the Gunners; they trailed 3-0 at the time.
Iwobi joins a short list of Nigerians to have appeared on the biggest nights of European club football.
