Former Super Eagles player Victor Ikpeba has backed the Nigeria senior national team to enjoy a smooth start to life in the fast-approaching AFCON in Egypt and believes the team will grow well into the tournament.
Ikpeba speaking in a chat with www.brila.net as the Super Eagles intensify preparation for the AFCON said the team won’t have any problem in the group stage other than Guinea who have been a thorn in the flesh of Nigeria in meetings against the Super Eagles.
“We’re going to have a tricky tie maybe Guinea will be a very stubborn side to beat because even in the past we have always had it very difficult to beat the Guineans.
“But I have a lot of belief in these set of players you know there is team unity, the coach is doing a good job.
“I think if they carry on with the same form they showed during the qualifying series, definitely we will get out of that group.”
