Missing AFCON 2019 almost broke me – Onazi

Super Eagles and Trabzonspor of Turkey midfielder, Eddy Onazi has revealed that missing out on the just concluded AFCON in Egypt was a real set back for his after being injured last season, which affected his chances of making the team.

Onazi will be hoping to make an impact this season for the club, with fellow countrymen Anthony Nwakaeme and former Super Eagles captain, John Obi Mikel

Speaking with brila.net, Onazi added that he is really looking to do more in terms of exploits for both club side, and hopefully for the country as well.

“It was a real setback for me, I was really really sad and the situation almost made me go crazy but I had to just control myself”.

“I also had to keep off all distractions and I went back earlier to my club for pre-season”.

“Am really happy and looking forward to doing more exploits”.
