The deal to take Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen to French side Lille is almost done, and the player is reportedly negotiating personal term.
It understood that the former French champions are close to a deal worth N4.8billion (€12m) plus €2m in add-ons for the player’s parent club VFL Wolfsburg.
Osimhen spent last season on loan at Belgian side Charleroi and the club are interested in keeping the player for another, but it is unlikely that the Felice Mazzu ( head coach) and Mehdi Bayat (manager of Charleroi) are ready to outbid the French side.
One of the player’s representatives who pleaded anonymity said the player’s transfer is almost done: “We are negotiating a contract with Lille and 90 percent close to a deal. We might complete everything within 48 hours and I will share more details after then.”
Osimhen netted 20 goals in all competitions for Charleroi last season and was part of Super Eagles that won the bronze medal at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
