Henry Onyekuru Seals £14m Deal With Monaco

Everton forward, Henry Onyekuru has sealed a permanent move to Monaco.

The Nigeria international moved to Goodison Park in 2017 on a £7 million deal from Belgian side, KAS Eupen before embarking on a succession of loan spells elsewhere.

Monaco are understood to have agreed a fee in the region of £14 million for the Super Eagles’ star, which comes just a week after Djibril Sidibe moved to Merseyside on loan.

“We are very happy to have Henry Onyekuru with us,” said Oleg Petro, the Ligue 1 side’s vice-president.

“He has demonstrated his qualities in recent seasons. He is a fast and powerful offensive player who will strengthen our offensive sector.”

Meanwhile, Monaco have revealed that Michael Emenalo has left his role of sporting director at the club after nearly two years in the job.

The 54-year-old, who resumed at the Ligue 1 side in November 2017 after leaving Chelsea in the same month, showed his gratitude to the club and wished them well for the season.

“I want to thank AS Monaco for giving me the opportunity to discover the French championship and wish the club and supporters a great 2019/2020,” Emenalo said.
