Team Nigeria ready for Davis Cup battle

Team Nigeria arrived in Nairobi, Sunday, ahead of their Davis Cup campaign, which begins 11 September.

Emmanuel Sunday, the country’s No. 4, who competed at the African Games last month, alongside No. 9 Emmanuel Idoko and No. 22 Emmanuel Paul, will lead the country’s charge. The team will be captained by John Atiomo.

 

Nigeria will compete in the Davis Cup Africa/Europe Zone Group III as they open another bid to gain promotion to Group II, next year.

 

All three players are making their debut at the event.
