Aghahowa calls for patience with new look Super Eagles team

Former Super Eagles striker Julius Aghahowa has called for caution and patience from Nigerians after the new-look Super Eagles team were held to a 2-2 draw last night against Ukraine at the Dnipro stadium despite throwing away a 2 goal advantage.

Aghahowa speaking after that game said the team should be allowed to grow gradually into the finished article rather than throw any blame or spanners into the wheel of progress.
The former Shakhtar Donestk of Ukraine player said things will naturally get better with the team from the core of the players that played last night with the show of sheer determination shown by a number of the players who wanted to be so part of the Super Eagles on a more consistent basis.
“We should let them progress gradually so that they can have a strong appearance when they get fully into the senior national team and hopefully with this crop of players, we are very sure that if we allow them to continue in their game, things will get better.
You can see some players are been selfish a bit because they want to do something special or something extraordinary to stamp their place in the team.”
