Staci Wilson, a U.S gold medalist at the 1996 Olympics with the women’s soccer team, says the development of Nigeria women’s football is encouraging and have a strong reputation around the world.
“Nigeria the reputation of the women is very strong, they know the game. The women’s team get a lot of respect. When I played at the 96′ Olympic I was impressed with Nigeria’s team.

 

Nigeria has a strong football tradition.”

She, however, said it doesn’t matter if the women’s team does not bring in a lot of revenue, it should be supported and there ought to be a reward of effort.
