Saka Left Out Of Arsenal’s Comeback Win Over Vitoria Guimaraes

Nigerian teenager Bukayo Saka was left out of Arsenal line up in their come back win over Vitoria Guimaraes at the Emirates on Thursday.

The winger played the entire duration in Gunners shock defeat at the Bramall Lane on Monday, but he was part of the ten changes made by Unai Emery for the Europa league.

Nicolas Pepe scored two late freekick  Arsenal in the last 10 minutes to make Emirates Stadium come alive once again.

Victoria took the lead in the 8th minutes, through former Tottenham youngster Marcu Edwards, before Gabriel Martinelli equalised with header from close range.

Duarte Da Silva put the visitors back in front in the 36th minutes and piled pressure on Unai Emery once more.

The Spanish coach however overlooked Bukayo Saka and brought on Pepe instead for ineffective Alexander Lacazette in the 75th minutes.

The Ivorian justified the faith of his manager by netting two free-kick to lead Club to victory.

Pepe is the first player to score two direct free-kicks in a Europa League game since Luis Suarez for Liverpool vs Zenit St. Petersburg in February 2013.

Saka will hope to return to the starting line up when Arsenal host Crystal Palace in the Premier League at Emirates on Sunday.
