Bottom of the Group Eagles Eye World Cup up Upset Against Brazil

It has been a tournament for forget for Nigeria’s Sand Eagles following a second straight defeat in Group D, as they fell 5-6 to Oman on Sunday.

The Eagles looked uninspired and were on the back foot for the majority of the game at the Los Pynandi Stadium in Luque.

Audu Adamu’s side sit rock bottom in the standings and have only pride to play for when they go up against Brazil in the final match on Tuesday.

His players may be crestfallen, but Adamu remains defiant and believes a win against the defending champions is possible.

Unlike his players though the Coach isn’t playing the preparation for the tournament, rather he has identified the players’ inability to execute game strategy for as Nigeria’s undoing in Paraguay.

‘I feel really disappointed because our strategies didn’t work. The Forwards aren’t scoring and the defenders aren’t keeping the ball out.

‘We will come back with a win against Brazil. We can’t go home empty handed,’ the Coach enthused.
