Plateau united coach Abdul Maikaba has called on management and fans of NPFL clubs to be more patient with coaches and handlers of teams in the Premier league with three managerial changes done already after just 8 games in the 2019/2020 NPFL season at Nasarawa united, Enugu Rangers and recently Akwa united.

Maikaba whose Plateau united side sit top of the league told www.brila.net that he could have been sacked had Akwa united not endured more after a bad opening 6 weeks at the club before eventually winning a trophy at the club.
He also revealed that Plateau united exercised patient with him after last season’s struggle and now has seen the team start so well this season.
“Last season all through we struggled, but they were patient enough, they knew I signed a three year contract. This is my second year and I assured them that things will change and we can see the changes because they are patient with me. So I am appealing to clubs to be patient with coaches and give them more time.”
