Tragedy struck Tuesday as a man who wedded his wife three days ago was crushed to death by a tipper in Asaba, Delta State.
The Anambra State man, Ebube Rex Amantu, who studied medical laboratory Science at Madona University, in the state wedded his wife on Saturday and was returning to Lagos on Tuesday, but met his untimely death in Asaba.
A family friend, Joshua, said:
” We just got the shocking news that our friend, Rex has been crushed to death at a Police checkpoint in Asaba, Delta State. He was stopped by the police and a tipper coming on high speed ran into his SUV and crushed him. We don’t know how to inform his new wife. We were all at the wedding. I don’t know what will happen to his wife”.
