Covid-19 : Police arrest scores in club house

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested scores of people in the clubhouse for violating the Covid-19 protocols on social distancing.

Also arrested were many for allegedly violating the state government law on 12 to 4 am curfew imposed on the state.
The operation was led by Commissioner of Police Lagos State Police Command, Me Hakeem Odumosu.

In a press statement by Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), CSP Muyiwa Adejobi, he stated that “today 9th January 2021, CP Hakeem Odumosu, personally led a team of police officers and men to enforce COVID-19 protocols across the state.

“The police chief and team stormed Lounge 38, Bode Thomas, Surulere and arrested scores clubbing at about 1 am which was contrary to the state government COVID-19 orders in Lagos State. His team also arrested some for violating the 12 to 4 am curfew at Marland. He has vowed to do anything possible with the ambit of the law to enforce the orders and to halt the spread of the pandemic in the State”.
