Former Real Madrid midfielder Mesut Özil, has arrived in Istanbul from London with his family to continue the transfer processes with Turkish football club Fenerbahçe early on January 18.
Ozil had earlier greed to terminate his deal with the Gunners and is expected to join Fenerbache in the coming days.
Despite missing almost a year of playing football, the 32-year-old claims he is in tip-top shape to help out the Turkish club.
He explained that even though he has not been seen in games, he continued to train with the first team off the pitch.
“Of course, I’m missing a few matches. I haven’t played in a match in a while, but I am physically fit, I have no issues,” Ozil stated.
