Iwobi hand Everton boosts Premier League survival with a win over Chelsea

Nigerian forward Alex Iwobi had a great game for Everton as they boosted their Premier League survival chances with a hard fought win against Chelsea.

Iwobi kept his his place in the starting eleven, but was deployed to the right wing back role and he produced a solid performance for the Tofees at the Goodison Park.

It was his seventh consecutive start for Everton under Frank Lampard and his 23rd appearance of the current campaign.

Brazilian forward Richarlison scored the only goal of the game in the 46th minutes.

Richarlison profited from a Chelsea error to secure the precious three points.

Cesar Azpilicueta gave up possession under pressure from the Brazilian forward, who harried the Chelsea captain into a mistake before slotting a low shot past goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.

With the 1-0, Everton moves within two points of safety. They are 18th, two points below Leeds (17th), who have played game more.
